CURRENCIES: U.S. Dollar Range-bound In Cautious Asian Trade

The U.S. dollar moved in a tight range against major currencies in cautious trading Wednesday, after rebounding during North American trade.

The dollar reversed direction after falling as low as 93.85 yen earlier in the day to trade at 94.03 yen in Asian afternoon trade, compared with 94.18 yen late Tuesday in North America.

The euro was fetching $1.4312, while the British pound bought $1.634, compared with their previous closes at $1.4304 and $1.6347, respectively.

The dollar index (DXY), which tracks the greenback against a trade-weighted basket of six major currencies, was at 78.28, compared with 78.24 late Tuesday.
