HANOI -- Vietnam's September coal production is estimated to have risen by 26% to 3.285 million metric tons, the General Statistics Office said Tuesday.
The country produced 3.936 million tons in August, according to revised GSO data.
In the January-September period, the country produced an estimated 31.974 million tons, up 4.2% compared with the same period last year, the GSO said.
Electricity output in September rose 16% to 6.9 billion kilowatt-hours, the GSO said.
In August, Vietnam produced 7.4 billion kWh of electricity.
In the January-September period, Vietnam produced 59.2 billion kWh, up 11% on year.
