France's Sep Trade Balance -EUR1.76B Vs -EUR2.17B In Aug

PARIS -- France's trade deficit shrunk in September from the previous month, the country's customs office said Friday, as exports rose more than imports.

France cut its trade shortfall to EUR1.76 billion in September from EUR2.17 billion in August. Exports rose to EUR29.1 billion from EUR28.47 billion, while imports rose to EUR30.86 billion from EUR30.65 billion.

The number of Airbus planes delivered in September rose to 22 from 15 in August, and their value to EUR1.34 billion from EUR830 million, helping to reduce the deficit.
