OIL DATA: Japan September Crude Imports Down 19% On Year -METI

TOKYO -- Japan's September crude oil imports by refiners and trading companies fell 19% to 15.62 million kiloliters, or 3.27 million barrels a day, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said Friday.

In the same month, refiners' and trading companies' crude imports from the Middle East accounted for 91% of overall imports, up 4.4 percentage points from a year earlier.
