The AUD lost ground to the Kiwi once again. The pair traded at 1.2589 yesterday before closing at 1.2531. After opening at 1.2505 the pair posted an intraday high of 1.2547 before settling to its current price of 1.2502.
The Kiwi has been boosted by positive news on its dairy industry after Fonterra announced a 20% increase in payments to farmers. Against the Aussie, the Kiwi was buying AUD 0.7973 early up from 0.7959, however it was little moved against the EUR, buying 0.4938 at the local open.
