Gold price sitting quietly around $993/oz

The momentum which had threatened to build up at the end of last week is dissipating somewhat. Gold has been unable to establish any traction above $1000/oz and even lost some ground overnight despite the continued fall in the USD. The expectation now is that the market may be long at these lofty levels and we could see a minor clean-out before the next attempt on $1030 takes place.
