Wall Street ends day in red, week in positive; Dollar holds at year lows

Markets in the U.S. fell on Friday on a profit taking session. The fell 0.23% despite a better-than-expected report on consumer sentiment. Gold finished above $1000 the ounce. Greenback recovered slightly during the American session, but finished the week with a sharp decrease across the board and remains near the lowest level of the year. The Yen rose posting fresh 7-month high against the Dollar.

EUR/USD failed to hold above 1.4600 and weakened falling to 1.4550. The pair ended the week at the highest level in almost a year. Against the Pound, Greenback also failed to sustain a recovery. GBP/USD fell below 1.6700 after the opening bell at Wall Street but found support at 1.6660.

USD/JPY tumbled on Friday, extending a downside rally that started last week. The pair fell to 90.20 posting fresh 7-month lows. Greenback remains under pressure despite being oversold.
