MADRID -- The fall in Spain's industrial output decelerated in June, pointing to an easing of the country's economic recession in the second quarter.
June industrial production fell 16.2% on the year in calendar-adjusted terms, after a 20.5% decline in May and a 19.4% fall in April, according to data Wednesday from the National Statistics Institute, or INE.
The country's central bank last week estimated the fall in gross domestic product eased in the second quarter to a 0.9% quarterly rate from 1.9% in the first quarter.
